It’s official. Ekta Chaudhary, the charming 22 year old from Delhi was crowned Miss India Universe 2009
in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. Standing tall at 5'9.5" and weighing 55.5kg,
vital statistics of the new Miss India Universe are reported to be an amazing 32-24-36!

Pooja Chopra was chosen Miss India World, while Shriya Kishore was crowned Miss India Earth,
by a panel of judges comprising big names such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Ajay Devgan, Sushmita Sen, Asin
and Deepika Padukone among others. In accordance with tradition, the winners from the previous year –
Miss India World Parvathy Omanakuttan, Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi and Miss India Earth Tanvi Vyas –
made an appearance on the ramp to bestow the crowns on their respective successors.

Glitz and glamour was understandably the mainstay of the event, which saw performances by a lively
Genelia D’Souza and a very sedate Kangana Ranaut, not to mention a sizzling finale routine by former
Miss World Priyanka Chopra, where the final five joined her on stage to shake a leg. Priyanka’s comment that
‘desi girls’ are the hottest in the world and unbeatable, received an expressive applause from the audience.

Asin get all the credits of the success between two. She is having two movies in her bag with Housefull and Aap Ka Saaya in her bag at the time. Hope she get something from those. Born to a Gujrati father and a half British and half Maharashtrian mother on April 10th, 1985, this buxom beauty has been in front of the camera since the tender age of 4. Initially she did advertisements, and later on graduating to music videos at the age of fifteen she appeared in Phalguni Pathaks melodious song Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye.

Another big hit Shake it daddy opened the doors of Bollywood for her and with her very first movie Tarzaan: The Wonder Car in 2004, she made her presence felt with an outstanding performance. Ayesha won the best debut female at Filmfare for this movie. Incidentally, Socha na tha was the first movie that she signed but it got delayed and Tarzaan released before it.

Her professional career has been shaping up well, her recent movies are Shadi Se Pahele, Home Delivery, Shadi No.1 and Dil Maange More. Salaam-e-Ishq: A tribute to love is her upcoming release on the box-office. Ayesha, one of the very few lucky new comers, is upbeat for having worked with the legendary Naseeruddin Shah in his maiden directorial venture Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Her upcoming projects include a performance-oriented role in Nagesh Kuknoors Dor where she plays a house wife to a worker in Saudi Arabia. Soon she will be seen in a Ram Gopal Vermas Satthu.

In her free time Ayesha likes to listen to stories, music, read books, and spend time with her family members. Her favourite leisure is going for long drives and chatting with friends at cafes.

Ayesha Takias sensational figure and her voluptuous assets have ranked her among the top ten Indias 50 Most Desirable women alive by Zoom T.V Channel in 2006. Ayesha was reportedly dating Siddharth Koirala, brother of Manisha Koirala but recently, this eye candy lass is reported to be in head over heels in love with Farhan Azmi, of Koyla and Basillico fame son of M.P Abu Asim Azmi.
